Almost two-thirds of the Pakistani population age 24 or less (in Denmark the share is 29%), and this means that Pakistan is a very young country compared to other countries. This isn’t necessarily a good thing, because educating that many young people at once can be quite difficult. The literacy rate in Pakistan is a good example of why: Only 59% of all Pakistanis are literate, and only 52% of specifically women can read and write. Although the state provides free education for children aged 5 to 16, only 68% of Pakistani children finish primary school. This will be a big problem for Pakistan in the future, especially as the country continues to become more and more developed.
The government says it is aware of the problems, but many criticize it for not doing enough.
Only two-thirds of Pakistani children finish primary school and even less finish a higher education.
