Trekking in the beautiful mountains of Pakistan is a great way to explore the country. It is recommended to travel in July and August, when the weather is most favorable. There are many good routes around the large mountain K2, and if you are experienced you could even try climbing it.
The museum is located in Pakistan’s capital city Karachi and is a big tourist attraction. One of the main things is the Quran Gallery, where over 300 copies of the holy book is at display. The national museum of Pakistan also contains many of the country’s other important items, such as artifacts from the Indus civilization.
The city of Lahore is known for its rich food culture. There are small tents, carts and stalls everywhere in the city, and even if you're just there for one day the food will impress and fascinate you. "Halwa puri" and "Chaat" are just some examples of the many local dishes.
Just outside of Karachi there is a site called "Chaukhandi Tombs". The place is on UNESCO’s world heritage list and has an interesting history. Warriors of the Saloch families are buried in the beautifully decorated tombs, and some of them have armored horsemen carved in the stone.
