Random Country at Ingvar.xyz
The countries are usually chosen by pure randomness, but by opening the settings panel a long list can be shown, that allows you to select a specific country. I haven't found a reliable solution to keeping the news updated because of some technical problems, but I will try to fetch them once in a while. The Google Map, that highlights the current country, is actually a paid service, but as long as this website doesn't recieve too much traffic, no money will be charged by Google (free tier is up to $200). I am aware of the problems regarding some national anthems not playing, and I will look into it in the future. The population stats etc. currently originate from worldometers.info, but their list hasn't been updated in a long time, so a new source is probably required in the future.
